Neighborhood Spotlight: Los Robles

The Los Robles neighborhood, which means "The Oaks" in Spanish, is located in the heart of Tallahassee. The streets all have Spanish names and several of the homes feature Spanish-style architecture, with ceramic tile roofs and stucco exteriors. You will also see traditional Southern and European influencers throughout the neighborhood.

Los Robles was one of the city's first planned communities when it began in 1926. It's located on a 37-acre triangle of land and has approximately 100 homes. The Los Robles Gate, located at the intersection of Thomasville and Meridian Roads, welcomes residents and visitors. The gate was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The neighborhood centers around the Los Robles Women's Club, also on the  National Register of Historic Places, and the Los Robles community park.

It's historic charm and access to downtown makes it one of the most popular neighborhoods in Tallahassee. It's within walking distance of many of Midtown Tallahassee's restaurants and shops as well as Lake Ella.
