Spotlight: Lafayette Oaks

Lafayette Oaks was founded in 1971 and is located on the historic Lafayette Land Grant — the large grant of land deeded to the Marquis de Lafayette by the United States Congress in appreciation for his assistance during the Revolutionary War. Today, it is a gated community of approximately 350 homes. Lafayette Oaks was named Leon County Neighborhood of the year in 2012, 2013, and 2014.

According to the Lafayette Oaks Homes Association, Lafayette Oaks offers many amenities, such as a neighborhood park, pool with sunshade, community center, tennis court, and a beautiful little island with rope swing. Our neighbors gather frequently for social events such as; trunk or treat, Easter egg hunts, back to school picnic/pool party and play dates at the park. Communitywide bi-annual neighborhood garage/yard sales are promoted.

Lafayette Oaks residents have many convenient options for shopping, restaurants, and activities. Two Publix Supermarkets, Bass Pro Shop, Walmart, CMX Cinemas Fallschase,  Tallahassee Antique Car Museum, and East Branch Library are located within minutes of the neighborhood.
