How to make your Spring listing stand out

Spring is a great time to sell a home. Traditionally, the number of buyers and sellers increase during the months of April, May, and June. How can you make your home stand out? Stay ahead of the home inspection If you know that a home inspector will find something during the home inspection, go ahead and get it fixed before you even put the house on the market. Potential buyers will appreciate the updates, and it will likely cost you less to get it fixed before that "For Sale" sign is in your yard. This will also reduces the possibility of buyers placing certain contingencies on the contract.

Declutter indoor spaces Buyers will see more potential in your home when it's clutter-free. Not only will your home look larger, you'll be one step ahead when it comes time to pack for your move. Resume yardwork Remove the dead leaves and debris that winter left behind. Trim back large bushes and branches to show off the exterior of your home. Bring in spring flowers and plants, either in flower beds or in containers, to add color and curb appeal. Clean the exterior The exterior is just as important as the interior. Power wash the siding, sidewalk, and driveway. You can rent a machine from your favorite home improvement store or hire a professional. Be sure to clean your gutters and blow leaves off the roof as well.
